Abstract

This paper proposes an analysis of a corpus of texts from Italian travelers in Argentina during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Compared with other European travelers texts (French, English), which shows an already developed sentiment of national community, the case of Italians is paradoxical: they belong to one of the youngest nations which, at the same time, is considered the richest in history and traditions among all other Europeans countries.
