Some Thoughts about the Activities of the CIDAC Extension Team “Letras Clásicas” (2012-2017)

Abstract

This article offers a systematization of the extension activities accomplished between 2012 and 2017 by a team of teachers, students and graduates in the area of Classical Studies at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of the University of Buenos Aires in the Centre for Innovation and Development for Community Action (CIDAC). On this base, a broader reflection on the challenges of university extension is proposed. The importance of the commitment of the institutions involved is postulated as a central idea and, in relation to this, the need to conceive university extension as a transversal and cooperative practice.
