El Pucará de Perchel (Dpto. Tilcara, Jujuy): arquitectura e interacción humana en un sitio tardío de la Quebrada de Humahuaca

In this paper the architecture and spatial configuration of Pucara de Perchel site are analyzed and hypothesis about the interaction among the site’s inhabitants and their experience of space are stated. Perchel has a surface of 2.921 m2 and it is located in Angosto de Perchel Quebrada de Humahuaca, Jujuy, Argentina). The occupation of this site was most important during the Regional Developments (Late Intermediate) and Inca periods. Visual and hearing exposition of different sectors on the site and the presence and disposition of areas of congregation were analyzed in order to understand the experience of space. The analysis permitted to establish the presence of semi-private, semi-public and public spaces. Public spaces would be related to ritual practices carried out in the site.
