This article analyzes the practices and strategies of the Unitarian lodges during the decade of the 1830´s. Are examined they operative ways, the causes of their breakup, as well as the factors that intervened in their evolution, their role in the panorama of the opposition against Rosas, their work in both riverbanks of the Río de la Plata, and the threat that they represented for the political régime of Buenos Aires.
