Abstract

This research identifies and analyzes the main tools of regulation and information policies that documentation services from television stations must have in order to achieve the main objective of facilitating audiovisual information required by journalists. Regulations/policies analyzed are related with description of audiovisual material, the criteria for selection of audiovisual information to become part of the collection of the chain, the rules of access and use of audiovisual content, the rules that regulate the preservation of information, ethical and deontological professional guidelines, and finally, the regulations for the use of software for document management.
