El Diario íntimo de la importante escritora colombiana Soledad Acosta de Samper, hace poco descubierto y editado, es uno de los pocos diarios íntimos del siglo XIX hispanoamericano. Iniciado a los veinte años y concluido dos años después, encierra su historia amorosa con José María Samper, destacado político y escritor colombiano, y sus primeros pasos en la experiencia de escritura. Este artículo se propone analizar los matices que adquieren en él los rasgos del género, especialmente las transformaciones que se van operando en el secreto característico del diario, al abrirse al diálogo amoroso y a un intercambio que roza el intercambio epistolar.
Abstract
The recently discovered and published personal journal of the prominent Colombian writer Soledad Acosta de Samper is one of the few such journals in Latin America of the nineteenth century. Written between the ages of twenty and twenty-two, it narrates her relationship with José María Samper – renowned Colombian writer and politician – and the beginning of her career as a writer. This article seeks to analyze the gender undertones of the journal, focusing on the transformations that take place in the characteristic secrecy of the personal journal as it opens itself to a dialogue on love and an exchange that approximates the epistolary genre.
